Desk height for people over 6'4"
Most desks stop where your elbows start. The numbers to measure, and the frames that reach.

Measure yourself, not the desk
Stand relaxed, elbows at 90 degrees, and measure from the floor to the underside of your forearm. That is your standing desk height. Sit with feet flat and measure floor to the crease behind your knee: that is your seat height. Add 25–30 cm for the seated desk height.
Typical results
At 196 cm you'll land near 123 cm standing and 55 cm seated. Most standing desks top out at 120–125 cm; most chairs at 50–52 cm. Both are just short.
What to buy
Look for frames with an extended range (some makers call it a "tall" or "extended" frame) and chairs with a taller gas cylinder option. Monitor arms matter too: a tall person's eye line is above the top of most monitors on a stand.
