Shoe size distributions and why US 13+ is hard to find
Roughly 3–5% of men need US 13 or larger; retailers stock for the middle 90%.

The distribution
Foot length tracks height. In the United States, men's shoe sizes centre around 10.5; around 3–5% of men need 13 or larger and roughly 1% need 15 or larger. Women's sizes centre around 8.5, with about 5% needing 11 or larger.
Why stock stops at 13
Retailers stock the sizes that turn over. Each size beyond the core adds inventory risk, and the lasts for large sizes cost the same to make as popular ones. Direct-to-consumer brands can carry the tail because they don't hold shelf stock.
Sizing systems
US, UK, EU and Mondopoint all measure differently and round differently. Above size 13 the rounding diverges: a US 14 may be listed as EU 48 or 49 depending on the brand. Always check the brand's own chart in centimetres.
